Renaissance Wax

For all-round excellence and versatility, RENAISSANCE WAX stands supreme. It will gently lift grime and murky accretions off of other polishes, leaving surfaces delightful to see and touch. Its translucency allows unlimited applications without obscuring surface detail: indeed, a RENAISSANCE-WAXED wood surface seems to catch the light and glow.

RENAISSANCE WAX may be used with complete success on any solid surface including wood, metal, marble/onyx, shell, stone, ivory, plastics, smooth leather and even paper. A simple test on a white card will show that the polish neither stains nor discolors.

Having a moisture resistance greatly superior to that of other waxes, RENAISSANCE WAX will protect polished surfaces (especially marble) from normal domestic spillages, including wine and spirits. The hardness of a matured wax coating also gives excellent protection against heat and finger marks, which are easily buffed away. In exterior applications - for example, on metal, marble or wood sculptures - RENAISSANCE WAX enhances the weather resistance of those surfaces, considerably extending their life.

There is no typical polish smell or added "fashionable" odors to detract from the natural pungency of good wood and leather.

Unlike normal polishes which are liberally applied, RENAISSANCE WAX gives its best results when used with restraint. Refined micro-crystalline waxes have a far greater spread, so small dabs go a long way. Re-waxing is required less frequently, too. RENAISSANCE WAX is thus not only the best furniture polish made but, on a straight cost comparison, the best value for money.

RENAISSANCE WAX is soft enough to mix easily with pigments before application. Gold colored mica powders, when mixed with RENAISSANCE WAX, create a gilt cream that never tarnishes. Gilt creams and gold paints all darken with time due to the oxidation of the bronze powder or a medium that has changed color. RENAISSANCE WAX and mica powders do not change color with time.

The shelf life of a can of RENAISSANCE WAX appears to be indefinite. One reason for this is that it has good solvent-retention properties; and in its seamless aluminum container, RENAISSANCE WAX will remain in perfect condition long after other polishes have caked hard and become useless.
